Speak at East Providence Chamber Annual Meeting

The East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting their Annual Meeting and Dinner on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Dr. Charles Steinberg,Boston Red Sox executive vice president and senior advisor to the president/ceo is the guest speaker.

The event will be held at Metacomet Country Club, 500 Veterans Parkway in East Providence beginning with a cocktail hour from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Reservations are required.

The Chamber’s executive director, Laura McNamara, said recently, “We are thrilled to have Dr. Steinberg as our guest speaker this year. We confirmed his participation during the summer, and are pleased that the Red Sox’s national notoriety is even more notorious now with the team’s World Series Championship. We are looking forward to hearing some behind-the-scene stories from a team executive.

Dr. Steinberg helped create many fan-friendly Red Sox events and community outreach efforts for the organization. He played a prominent role in orchestrating the 100th Anniversary Celebration of Fenway Park in 2012. Dr. Steinberg also created the Red Sox Scholars Program and Red Sox Children’s Retreats.

The Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Dinner also features presentations of the non-profit organization’s annual awards including Business of the Year, election of the 2014 board of directors, raffle drawings, and a silent auction.

Tickets are $100 per person for Chamber members and guests; $125 for non-members. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.Seating is limited. A sell-out is expected.
