Salon: The artwork of Nancy Elizabeth Prophet

As part of the Providence Athenaeum's Salon series, the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities and Opera Providence will host a talk by Catherine Little Bert, a well-known Providence art dealer, on the works of Nancy Elizabeth Prophet, RISD's first Black graduate.

Bert will discuss the scarcity and collectibility of Prophet's work in the marketplace. The event is free of charge and open to the public. For more information on the event, check out the Providence Journals review here.
