Girl Scouts: We Want Your Cookie Info!

Get the word out about ordering by sharing the info on Patch.

Girl Scouts across our area are currently ramping up for one of the sweetest times of year.

From now until March, you can place orders for your favorite cookies—whether that's a Thin Mint, Do-Si-Do, or Samoas—by contacting a local Girl Scout. The Scout's also have a new treat this year, Savannah Smiles, however we're told it will not be sold by the RI scouts as their distributor is not producing them at this time.

The Girl Scouts of RI are holding a special Cookie Kick-Off this Sunday, Jan. 8. The girls, their families and friends will gather with the Providence Bruins starting at 1 p.m. to celebrate the start of selling season.

Will your daughter be selling cookies this year? Then take note! If you want to get the word out to the whole community about how they can place an order, be sure to share the info via an announcement on Patch. We'll then feature it for all to see and hopefully help make 2012 your troop's best cooking-selling year to date.

The Girl Scouts of RI report that booth sales will start toward the end of January. Be sure to check their site for locations.
