The Results Are In: Orlo School Finishes Third in Playground Contest

Orlo Avenue Elementary School finished in eighth place by the end of the Clorox contest.

The results are in for the Power A Bright Future Grant Program. Orlo Avenue Elementary School finished third in their category and eighth overall.

That is outstanding for the smallest state in the union to be able to compete against huge States like Texas - which won - and California. Although that leaves our school out of the running for the money, it leaves Nicole Estrella, head of the committee to get Orlo a playground.

"We might not have won this grant for our school, but that doesn't mean we will not get a playground. The playground committee is committeed to putting together successful fundraisers and securing more grants to complete our vision of transforming the school. We are very thankful for everyone who is supporting our cause" said Estrella.

She would also like to ask anyone who owns or runs a local bussiness to donate a gift card that they can use in their raffle calender. if you would like to donate to the cause, as always, feel free to contact Nicole at nicolejestrella@gmail.com or myself at kevinoliver1010@aol.com. Every little bit helps, and Lord knows we could use all the help we can get.
