Beatrice (Lopes) Pinto, 105: Bank Cashier, Auditor

Beatrice (Lopes) Pinto, 105, formerly of the Goldsmith Manor, a lifelong East Providence resident, died Thursday afternoon, Nov. 14, 2013 at the Greenwood Care Center, according to Rebello Funeral Home.

Born June 8, 1908, in Taunton, MA, she was a daughter of the late Francisco Lopes and Maria Almeida Cruz.

Beatrice worked as a bank cashier and auditor for the Shepard Company for 30 years before retiring in 1973.

She was the sister of Julia Meenagh of Warwick, and of the late Caroline Lopes, Flora Tabella, Dorothy McDonough, Elsie Leon Guerrero, Francisco Lopes, John Lopes, Raymond Lopes, George Lopes and James Lopes. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will be at the Assonet Burial Ground, Freetown. Calling hours are today, 4-8 p.m.
