Byron P. Graff Jr., 89

East Providence man was the husband of Dolores Graff; he was an accountant for many years.

Byron P. Graff, Jr., of Hillside Avenue, East Providence, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Orchard View Manor, East Providence. He was 89.

He was the husband of Dolores (Rodrigues) Graff. Born in Hartford, Conn., he was a son of the late Byron P. and Catherine (Barry) Graff.

He also resided in Brighton, Mass., before moving to East Providence 26 years ago. He was an accountant for Bendix for 10 years and for Sealtest Ice Cream.

He graduated from Boston College and he was a LTjg in the Navy serving in World War II and Korea.He  loved to read, do crossword puzzles, was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Byron P. Graff, III of North Easton, Mass., and Richard Graff of Franklin, Mass.; a daughter, Janet Cadogan of Quincy, Mass., six grandchildren and a great grandson.

Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at 10 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol.

Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.

Visiting hours are Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 am.
