Dorothy A. Watson, 85, E.P. Resident 40 Years

Dorothy A. Watson, of East Bay Manor, Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, East Providence, died peacefully on Sept. 25, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was 85.

She was the wife of the late George J. Watson. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Justin and Annie (Alexander) Rice, she lived in East Providence for 40 years. 

Watson was devoted to the care of her family and friends. She is survived by her brother; Herbert Rice of CA, a sister; Anita MacDonald of FL, a niece; Susan G. Paquin of Swansea, MA, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was the mother of the late Michael Watson, sister of the late William Rice, Margaret Chappell and Edward McLinden and loving companion of the late George E. Kent. 

Her funeral will be held on Saturday Sept., 2013 from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
