Idalina DaSilva (Gaipo) Maciel, 90: Mother, Grandmother

Her funeral will begin Saturday, 8:45 a.m., at Rebello Funeral Home.

Idalina DaSilva (Gaipo) Maciel, 90, formerly of Warren Ave., died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at her son's home in Lake Mary, Florida.

She was the wife of the late Rogerio S. Maciel.

Born July 5, 1923, in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Armando and Rosa (DaSilva) Gaipo.

She was the mother of Rogerio "Roger" Maciel Jr. of Lake Mary, FL, Armando Maciel of Attleboro, and Humberto Maciel of Oviedo, FL; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

She was the sister of Agueda Maciel of Westport, Lidia Peixinho of Warwick, Jose Gaipo of East Providence, Hermano Gaipo of Glocester, and the late Manuel Texiera and Maria Cardoso.

Her funeral will begin Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
