Jane M. Whelan, 74: Bookkeeper, Grandmother

Jane M. Whelan, 74 formerly of Potter Street, East Providence died on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, according to Perry-McStay Funeral Home.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Mary (Giroux) Mullervy. Jane was a bookkeeper for Dr. Burton Sackett for many years before she retired.
She leaves two daughters, Kelly A. Marshall and her husband Michael of East Providence and Mary J. Nascimento and her husband Robert of East Providence, five grandchildren, Sean, Michael, Taylor, Bret and Benjamin and two great grandchildren, Kennedy and Hattie. She was the sister of the late Dennis Mullervy.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 9 a.m. from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are today, Friday 5-8 p.m.
