Joseph A. Armington, 52: Autobody Technician, Beloved Uncle

Joseph A.Armington, 52, of Silver Spring Ave., died January 1, 2014, after a  long battle with cancer, according to Rebello Funeral Home.

Born in Providence, he was the son of Joan (Murray) Armington and the late Walter Armington.

He worked as an auto body repair technician for various body shops for 28 years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Raymond Chartier. He was the beloved uncle of Raymond, Robert and Nicole Chartier. He was the twin brother of the late James Armington.

His funeral will begin on Friday at 9 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Martha's Church, 2595 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, 5-8 p.m.
