Louise M. Rezendes, 95, Retired School Department Worker

Louise M. (Rebello) Rezendes, formerly of Fifth Street, East Providence, died peacefully on Sept. 16, 2013 at the Orchard View Manor. She was 95.

She was the loving wife of the late John A. Rezendes, with whom she was married for 54 years.vShe was born April 4, 1918, in Providence, a daughter of the late John and Amelia (Silva) Rebello.

She worked for the East Providence School Department for 25 years, retiring in 1988.

She is survived by her three sons and their wives, John and Ruth Rezendes of Riverside, Russell and Hildi Rezendes also of Riverside and Paul and Janet Rezendes of Warwick; five grandchildren, Andrew Rezendes, Megan Begnoche, Justin Rezendes, Shannon Brito and Lee Conti; and eight great grandchildren, Finn Rezendes, Teague Rezendes, Shea Rezendes, Manny Rezendes, Henry Begnoche, Alexander Conti, Anabella Conti and Trae Brito. She was also the sister of Elsie Montaquilla of East Providence and of the late Theresa Dumican and Lydia Michael.

Her passion was her family and loved having them close to her. She enjoyed cooking for her family, for her friends and anyone in need.

Her funeral will begin Saturday, Sept. 21, at 8:45 am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Margaret's Church, Pawtucket Ave., Rumford. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Friday, Sept. 20, from 4-8 pm.
