Margaret A. 'Peggy' Pereira, 92

She was the wife of the late Joseph Pereira. Born in England, she was a homemaker and also worked in retail for many years.

Margaret A. "Peggy" Pereira, of Newman Avenue, Rumford, East Providence, passed away on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was 92.

She was the wife of the late Joseph Pereira. Born in Lancashire, England, she was the daughter of the late John Todd and Agnes (Walsh) Todd.

She was a homemaker all her life while also working in retail for Peerless and the Outlet Company.

She is survived by her children, James Pereira of Fairhaven, Mass., John Pereira and his wife Darla of Lawton, Okla., Michael Pereira and his wife Ellen of Falls Church, Va., Joanne Caranci and her husband Robert of Lincoln, and Kathleen Bell and her husband William of Pawtucket.

She also is survived by her seven grandchildren, Sarah, Steven, Jillian, Caitlin, Joseph, Adam, and Ian. She also leaves her two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Sabrina.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Feb. 6, in St. Margaret's Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford at 10 am. Her calling hours will be in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, on Wednesday Feb. 6, from 8:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited.
