Milton "Monk" H. Pete Jr., 75: Ardent Fan of Oakland Raiders, Oakland A's.

Milton "Monk" H. Pete Jr., 75, of Emmett St., died surrounded by his family at home, Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, according to Rebello Funeral Home.

He was the husband of Alice (Clements) Pete.

Born July 2, 1938, in Pittsburgh, TX, he was the son of the late Milton H. Pete Sr. and Della (Johnson) Pete. An avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Oakland Raiders and the Oakland A's. He spent many hours with his friends at the South Street Café.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, he leaves his four children, Monique Pete Gomes, Jeffrey Ray Pete, and Kimberly A. Pete, all of Providence and Kevin A. Pete of Oakland, CA; his four grandchildren, Latonya, Michael, Jeffrey Jr., and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Takari and Zoe; his sisters, Naomi Pete of Berkeley, CA, and Reba Silket of San Pablo, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon, 1pm until the time of service at 2pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
