Obituary: Florence (Reis) Antonian, 93

Florence (Reis) Antonian of Johnston, formerly of East Providence, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20. She was 93 years old.

Born Jan. 17, 1919, in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Sousa) Reis. She leaves her children (Arlene Lapierre of Providence and Charles Antonian of Johnston), four grandchildren (Aimee Bova, Anna Parmelee, Jonas Parmelee and Jason Parmelee), and three great-grandchildren (Adrian and Avo Bova and Elizabeth Parmelee).

She is also the sister of Maria M. Rose of East Providence and of the late Agnes Topper, and Rose, Augusto, Manuel and John Reis.

Her funeral will begin 8:15 a.m. Thursday at the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will follow at the Rumford Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m.
