Yoshiko Tachikawa Garcia of East Providence passed away on Saturday, Dec. 8.
Yoshiko Tachikawa Garcia of Wheldon Avenue, East Providence, passed away at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center on Saturday, Dec. 8. She was 85.
Born in Tokyo, she was the daughter of the late Hidejiro and Kimi Tachikawa.

She is survived her son Noboru "Bud" Garcia of Riverside, and two sisters, Kimiko Garcia of Rehoboth and Tamako Garcia of Maryland; eight grandchildren and many family members in Tokyo.
Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave. in East Providence. A service will follow at 8 p.m. Burial is private.
