Raymond R. Oliver, 87: Postman, WWII Marine Corps Vet

Raymond R. Oliver, 87, died Nov. 13, 2013, according to Rebello Funeral Home.

He was the beloved husband of Clotilde "Tillie" (Viveiros) Oliver. They were married for 64 years. Born in East Providence, he was the son of the late John Oliver and Belmira (Ferreira) Oliver.

He worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service for 25 years. He was a WWII veteran and served with the United States Marine Corps.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Claudia Pacheco and Donald Oliver both of East Providence, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was the brother of Dolores Dias of Riverside and Ann Oliver of Warren. He was the brother of the late John Oliver, George Oliver and Beverly Farrell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11AM in St. Martha's Church, 2595 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours are omitted. Arrangements  have been entrusted to Rebello Funeral Home.
