Richard D. Borges, 51
He was a lifelong resident of Riverside, a branch manager for Airgas, Inc.
Richard D. Borges, of Arrowhead Avenue, Riverside, East Providence, died at home on Jan. 25, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was 51.
He was the husband of Katherine A. (Luciano) Borges. Born in Providence, he was a son of Roger Thivierge of Riverside and the late Mary Ann (Munro) Thivierge.
He was a lifelong resident of Riverside. He was a branch manager for Airgas Inc. for 27 years. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed baseball, football and fresh water fishing.
Besides his wife and step-father, he is survived by two sons, David R. Borges of Warren and Jonathan H. Borges of Warren; two sisters, Mary Dora Paull of Smithfield and Michele Herriman of Maine; a brother, Robert H. Munro of Warren, and a grandson, Richard J. Borges.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 2, 2013 in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 9 am. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
