Robert J. Motroni, 66, Retired Auto Manager

Robert J. Motroni, of East Providence, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.  He was 66.

He was the beloved husband of Fran Motroni. Born in Brockton, Mass. and raised in Bridgewater, Mass. he was the son of the late Robert and Eleanor Motroni.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Crisis.  Before his retirement due to illness, he was a lead business manager at Tasca Automotive Group and was employed by various auto dealerships for over 30 years.  He was a passionate golfer and a loyal Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Alysha Fraser and his son Marc Motroni as well as step-daughters Gina Gervino (Tony) and Jennifer Portella.  He was the loving grandfather of Jacob and Maya.  He leaves his sisters Karen Logan and Elaine Phaneuf (Jack).  He was devoted to his dog Bailey.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, July 13, at 9 am from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service at 10 am in Church of the Epiphany, 1336 Pawtucket Avenue. Burial with Military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
