Robert L. Biron, 53: Born in Quebec, RI Army Guardsman

Robert L. Biron, 53, of Wendell St., died peacefully at home surrounded by his family Friday afternoon, Jan. 24, 2014.

Born Apr. 14, 1960, in Montreal, Quebec, he was a son of Doris (Leveille) Biron of Providence and the late Philemon Biron.

Robert served with the RI Army National Guard for 12 years.

In addition to his mother, he leaves his daughters, Melissa Martins and Bernadette Marcel, both of Riverside; his 4 grandchildren, Sean, Briana, Evan and Kaiden; his brothers, Denis Biron of Providence and Claude Biron of Canada; and his sisters, Nicole Rouleau of Cumberland and Celine Fluet of Canada. He was the husband of the late Bernadette M. Stott.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 178 Dexter St., Providence. Calling hours will be Tuesday 5-8 p.m. in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence.
