Sharon J. Donovan, 52, Wife of E.P. Native

Sharon Jones Donovan, of Fairfax, VA,  passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013.  She was 52.

She was the wife of East Providence native Michael Donovan, to whom she was married for 20 years. He is the son of George A. Donovan and the late Lois A. Donovan of Anthony Street, East Providence.

A graduate of Fairfax High School, she received both her bachelor’s degree in economics and business and an MBA from Strayer University in Washington, DC. She was a master esthetician and Reiki master. She was the co-owner of Fairfax Skin Care Center.

An avid sailing enthusiast, she enjoyed sailing with her husband on Chesapeake Bay and travel to foreign countries. She loved music, art and cooking and her courage, intelligence  and compassion were an inspiration to all those who were privileged to know her.

She is survived also by her mother, Donna Pack of Fairfax; a step-sister Theresa Akers Fowler of Brambleton; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
