Veronica Silva, 84, Jewelry Inventory Clerk

Veronica Silva, of Seventh Street, East Providence, died August 22, 2013 at Rhode Is;and Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 84.

She was the wife of the late Liberal Silva. Born in East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Rocha Fitta and Mary (Duarte Branca) Fitta.

Veronica worked as an inventory clerk for BA Ballou and Coro's Jewelry.

She is survived by her children Lois Kaplan of N. Providence, James Silva of Pawtucket, William Silva, Robert Silva and his wife Dawn Silva of East Providence, her grandchildren Benjamin Kaplan, Ashley Kaplan, Jaime Kaplan, Nicole Silva, Jennifer Silva, Kimberly Silva, Alyssa Silva, Madison Silva, Hannah Silva and great grandchildren Adrionna Silva and Henry Gerard. She was the sister of Gloria Pimental and Madeline Fitta both of East Providence, Joseph Fitta of Plainville, MA and the late Florence De Point, Eugene Fitta, Rose Soucy and Emily Mascio.

Her funeral will begin on Monday at 9 am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am in St. Francis Xavier Church, N. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5-8 pm.
