Zygmunt J. “Ziggy” Ogarek, 63: Worked for Rockwell Amusements

Zygmunt J. “Ziggy” Ogarek, 63 of Dexter St. died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital, according to Perry-McStay Funeral Home.

He was born in Leeds, England a son of the late Frank Z. and Sophie (Prychidko) Ogarek. He worked for Rockwell Amusements for many years before he retired.

He leaves one sister, Irene A. Ogarek, one brother, George A. Ogarek both of North Providence, four nieces, Stephanie Thomas, Becky Ogarek, Jessica Ogarek and Melissa Thomas. He was the brother of the late Frank J. Ogarek. His funeral and visitation will be held on Monday at 8:30 a.m. from Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery.
