DUI Charge for Driver in Bullocks Point Ave. Crash

A driver who police say is responsible for leading East Providence Police on a chase that ended with a four-car crash at the intersection of Bullocks Point and Maple Avenues Thursday morning is facing DUI charges.

Christopher Pari, 49, reportedly led police on a chase during which he struck multiple cars and was pulled from his car by police who were forced to smash his window as he tried to take off.

WPRI reported that Pari was tased before he was taken into custody.

The initial report to police was for a multi-car accident on Bullocks Point Avenue around 10 a.m. where they found five damaged cars and two downed telephone poles.

Pari is facing charges of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and driving to endanger. 

Four people were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries caused by the crash.
