EP Police Arrest Driver With Wrong Plates, Suspended License

A driver making a left onto Veterans Memorial Parkway Dec. 28 at 6:59 p.m. failed to use a turn signal, drawing the attention of East Providence Police.

That wasn't fortuitous, since the driver, Andrew Scarpetti, 23, of 30 Country St., Pawtucket, had a suspended license, and his truck, a black 1985 Ford Ranger, was bearing plates registered to a white 2000 Hyundai.

East Providence Officer Brian Lundstrom pulled Scarpetti over, asking for his license and registration, learning about the suspended license and wrong plates.

Lundstrom arrested him, charging him with driving with a suspended license, and citing him for the plates.
