E.P. Police Charge 4 Men After Bowling Alley Fight
The men refused to leave the East Providence Bowing Center.
Four men were arrested for fighting inside the East Providence Bowling Center late last Tuesday night, Aug. 6 – a confrontation that drew at least four patrol officers and a gaggle of onlookers.
Eric St. Pierre, 28, of Walden Street, Pawtucket; Nathan L. Applegate, 20, of Hanover Street, Providence; Andre Applegate, 26, of Hanover Street, Providence, and a 17-year-old from Bridgham Street in Providence, were charged after a fight near the pool room at about 11:30 pm.
Police used a Taser on Andre Applegate because he was described as “combative” and refused to be handcuffed, according to the arrest report. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for the Taser probes to be removed from his back before he was charged.

Nathan Applegate and the 17-year-old allegedly screamed “pigs” and police corruption and brutality while they were being handcuffed.
The police report did not indicate what started the confrontation. All of the men refused to leave the bowling alley, according to the arrest reports.

St. Pierre was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and simple assault. He allegedly instigated the confrontation and then was believed to be outnumbered by the other three men during the fisticuffs.
Nathan Applegate was charged with disorderly conduct; Andre Applegate was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct; the juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct.
St. Pierre was taken to the ACI after being charged; the other men were released. Each man received a date to appear in District Court to face the charges.
