The FBI has arrested a male suspect linked to Wednesday's disappearance of a 13-year-old Portsmouth girl, reports NBC 10.
The man, who was arrested in New Jersey, is expected in federal court in New Jersey Thursday afternoon.
Further details about where the girl was found have not been released. However, Kathyrn Botelho was found alive and safe early Thursday morning.
The Portsmouth police, the FBI and the RI State Police have scheduled a joint press conference at 3 pm today at Portsmouth Town Hall.
Botelho, a Ferry Landing Circle resident, was reported missing Wednesday just after 9:30 a.m. She allegedly left with a man in a red Subaru. An Amber Alert was issued and subsequently canceled after she was found Thursday.
