Four E.P. Men Charged With Domestic Assault

East Providence police were kept busy with a spate of domestic situations last week.

Four East Providence men were charged with domestic assault by police last week. 

The men are Jesse C. Chaukouian Jr., 18, of 100 Anthony St.; Kevin P. Johnston, 42, of 92 Wilmarth Ave.; Heron Jarillo, 40, of 154 Redland Ave., and Raymond B. Johnson, 28, of 58 Anthony St., according to East Providence arrest reports.

Chakouian allegedly punched his girlfriend, 18, in the face after he said she struck him several times during an argument on Tuesday evening, Sept. 10. He actually called police concerned about her condition, according to the arrest report. He was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic vandalism after being taken to the police station.

Johnston allegedly put his girlfriend’s son, 16, in a headlock and punched him in the eye after an argument about being too noisy in the bedroom early Wednesday morning, Sept. 11. The altercation also knocked a bedroom door off its hinges. He was charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct after being taken to the police station.

Jarillo reportedly pushed his wife down some stairs, took her cell phone and drove away in her car early Friday morning, Sept. 13. They had been yelling at each other, according to the police report. He was picked up on a nearby street and then charged with domestic simple assault at the police station.

Johnson allegedly slapped his wife during an argument over her claim that he took $140 from her purse. He said the slap occurred inadvertently when she “got in his face.” He was charged with domestic simple assault after police officers arrested him waiting outside his home for them to show up. He denied stealing the cash from the purse.
