Man's Ex-Girlfriend Creates Disturbance, Police Arrest His Female Guest

East Providence Police responding to a man's complaint of an ex-girlfriend banging on his front door arrested a woman guest at his home instead.

The man called police at 1:15 a.m. Oct. 12, reporting that his ex-girlfriend was banging on the front door of his 99 Walnut St. home. Police arrived at the scene and spoke with the ex-girlfriend, the man and a woman at the man's home, later identified as Debra M. Broccoli, 42 Cowden St., Apt. 3, Central Falls.

Officers ran background checks on all three, finding an arrest warrant for Broccoli for failing to appear in court on Oct. 14 2009. She was arrested on the warrant.

Police secured the ex-girlfriend in a cruiser and called a friend to pick her up.
