My goodness, run away or not this girl is "missing"! it should be allj over the news so people have their eyes open! Her family is going crazy right now and need ALL the help they can get. My daughter is 15 and I cannot even imagine how they feel.

I agree whose to say she is a "runaway" in this type of cases it shouldn't be judged by the childs actions all the time. She is a 14 yr old beautiful girl that has not been seen since Thursday evening. Under the circumstances the e.p should of taken this more seriously can't just assume. I myself was looking for her on the news and was very surprised that news didn't mention That Alexis was missing.i know that they can't cant report someone missing until 24hrs. But it has been over24 hrs, also they must have survaliance cameras at rite aide.to see if she was actually picked up by a vehicle. My prayers go out to Alexis and she does in fact returns home safely. God bless

This is just crazy!! E.Ps finest need to start stepping up to the plate. Unfortunately Ive had some issues needing their help, this certain issue....could actually lead to my daughter getting taken away from me one day (kidnapped) dont want the wrong ppl to read this so can't say more. Needless to say, the gent that was called to the seen was of NO HELP! Said their was nothing he could do, have to go to court. After he had been lied to by the person my child was with(actually wasn't even with her). The officer was suppose to check on my daughter to see if she was safe after this person told him she was safe and in the house w/ them. Officer went in, came out...said she wasn't in there but he says she is in good hands. When I was suppose to have her that day!! Ugh, sorry to vent. This isn't about me and my messy situation. But there have been two domestic violence issues where the females were murdered. One was a friend of mine, last Christmas. Both were from EP! I think the men that are suppose to do all they can to ensure our and our childrens saftey need to wake up!!! Not saying all of them. Officer Paul Rodrigues, Mike Rose and Chris Perella are exceptionally fine officers!! Im sure there are more, just don't know any of them. I will pray for this girls safe return!! Sorry for all that are related and friends. I will pray that God gives you comfort. God Bless!!

This was actually reported on the news last night. It is not only being spoken of on social networking. Also, Rhode Island will not issue an Amber Alert unless there is actual witness or videotape of a child being 'taken'. The lack of trust as well as the lack of word via the media on this is disturbing. Also disturbing is that most of the commenting done here voices doubt and non-assurance of the situation. It makes me feel that there must be a better more effective way of handling missing children in this state. As for the news report, it was fleeting and had I not been channel searching I would not have even caught it. Let's all act as the eyes and ears of our community and bring this girl home!
