New Charge Brought Against Richard Perry; Two Alleged Victims Speak

A third count of second-degree child molestation — the fifth overall — was added to the list of charges against the former youth sports coach.

At a Jan. 22 arraignment hearing in Sixth District Court, a new charge of second-degree child molestation was added to the list of counts against Richard Perry, 55, of Warren, East Bay Newspapers reported today.

Two of Perry's alleged victims were in the courtroom during the hearing, according to a report on eastbayri.com posted this afternoon.

State Police arrested Perry in December, and charged him with two counts each of first- and second-degree child molestation.

Rick Lombardi, of Providence, and Jim Phillips, of Warren, said they plan to testify at Perry's upcoming trial, the website reported. He is next scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on March 21.

I agree. Like gun crime also there is no perfect all inclusive answer. Evil finds a way and rarely is evil stupid, on the contrary they are very smart or they would not get away with things so long. In this type of crime they are almost always either covered up and aided bu so called people who abhor the crime but simply are ignorant that right is right and wrong is wrong. I always wonder what the mindset of Biship Gellino was in his ignoring it so long and actually trying to protect the criminals. I really detested that guy a lot. Still do I guess. I believe there are many molesters out there a lot closer to kids then people think, I agree with O'rielly that is is not a mental issue but a person who is just a criminal who controls lives with out a consience. He does not care about the children, the laws or anything else other than his own wants, not needs as some medical people say, his own want and then people actually make excuses. The legal definition of insanity is not knowing right rom wrong. It is almost impossible to get that proven in Court. So why do so many of these perps get away with the excuse of some medical thing or they were spanked or abused as a kid as a justifacation for their action. If that was the case, then how come all the victims do not become like that enmass. It makes no logical sense. Some people are just evil because they are evil in my opinion.

Well like I always say, you cannot legislate ignorance nor can you cure it is the person will not look at the facts in an unbiased way. Agree you can pick your friends but not your family lol.

I agree on the rude, but I expect people to appoligize or at least explain how they come to the comment so I can understand why they think it is not rude or ignorant andd the flip side.
