Four underage East Providence adults face alcohol or drug possession charges after they are spotted drinking in a vehicle at a convenience store.

Four underage East Providence adults face alcohol or drug possession charges after they were spotted at a convenience store last week passing around a bottle of rum in a vehicle parked in the lot.

East Providence police responded to a call late Friday, Dec. 28, that the teens were seen drinking at the Cumberland Farms at 2812 Pawtucket Ave.

The vehicle was parked at a gas pump with fogged windows at about 11:30 pm when a patrol officer pulled into the store parking lot.

Police officers seized rum, marijuana, several bottles of pills, and a glass tube usually used to smoke marijuana after they questioned the occupants and searched the vehicle. They filed the following charges:

Tyeler J. Durand, 19, of 71 Earle Ave., was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of other illegal drugs, and possession of alcohol by an underage person.

Ariana E. Cameron, 18, of 63 Ruth Ave., was charged with possession of alcohol by an underage person. 

Eric R. Talbot, 19, of 5 Leigh Lane, was charged with possession of alcohol by an underage person.

Keegan A. Stilkey, 18, of 44 Timberland Ave., was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol by an underage person. 

Another juvenile girl, 15, from Providence also was charged with transporting alcohol.

Durand and Stilkey were held for District Court. Cameron and Talbot received a summons to appear in District Court on Jan. 9, and were released.

The juvenile was released into the custody of her mother.
