Cops Work Drive-By Shooting Leads

Five bullets did not penetrate the house at 134 Summit St. on the corner of Cross Street in East Providence.

East Providence police continue to investigate the drive-by shooting on Summit Street.

"The shooting is presently under investigation," said Det. Capt. Richard Frazier. "We are working on some leads, but nothing new at this point."

The shooting took place early Sunday morning, Jan. 6. No one was hurt and the five bullets did not penetrate the single-family house at 134 Summit St. on the corner with Cross Street not far from Munroe Dairy.

The shots reportedly came from a dark-colored vehicle, according to East Providence police.

Police have not released the name of the home’s owner or any other details as of late Monday afternoon.
