Two Boys, 17, Face Larceny Charges

Teens allegedly ransack a vehicle parked at an East Providence doughnut shop.

Two 17-year-old teens face larceny charges after reportedly ransacking a Jeep early Sunday morning, Sept. 29, at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Taunton Avenue in East Providence. 

One of the teens lives on Russell Avenue in East Providence; his alleged conspirator lives on Hartford Avenue in Providence, according to the arrest report.  

The two boys allegedly entered the vehicle around 2 am. They carried off a variety of items, including a flashlight, cigarettes, a vase, a multitool, a 3-inch folding knife, a hair pick, some chewing gum, and a child’s bracelet and ring, according to the police report. 

Total value of the items did not exceed $50. They are charged with a misdemeanor larceny under $500. 
 
After being arraigned in the police station, they were given a date to appear in Family Court.
