Vandals Continue Attacking Golf Course

Two more reports of vandalism to the greens at the Agawam Hunt Club golf course are reported to East Providence police.

Vandals continue to target the Agawam Hunt Club golf course in East Providence.

The East Providence Police Department received two more complaints about malicious damage from the course supervisor, Drew Cummins, in the past 5 days. And vandals appear to be showing up two to three times a week now, police were told. 

On Monday, July 1, Cummins reported at around 6:18 am that vandals tore out the tin cups on three greens at holes 1, 6 and 7, according to the police report. The cost of repairing the greens and replacing the cups is about $400.

On Friday, June 2, police said, the course supervisor reported at around 6:15 am that vandals used the flag sticks to poke holes in the greens at holes 1 and 17. There was no report of the cost of the damage. 

The golf course is checked for damage early every day; the attacks are occurring overnight.
