Victims in Friday Head On Crash ID'd as Riverside Women

Two Riverside women are in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital. A third has died. All three were in a car that was struck by a wrong-way driver.

One Riverside woman is dead and another is in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital after a head-on crash caused by a wrong-way driver on Interstate 95 in Pawtucket early Friday morning.

State Police identified the driver of the wrong-way car as Estefani Almanzar, 21, of, Providence. She remains in critical condition from injuries sustained in the crash. She was alone in her car, police said.

The woman driving in the correct direction but was struck by Almanzar has been identified by police as Weiming Chien, 30, of Riverside. She is in stable condition at the hospital.

A front seat passenger of Chien's, Jean Liu, 20, of Providence, is also in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital.

The back seat passenger, Sheng Zhou, 27, of Riverside, was pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital at 4:05 a.m., about an hour after the accident.

State Police said the accident investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
