Woman Allegedly Assaults Elderly Man

Jamie Presnol, 32, of Pawtucket, allegedly broke into the man's Vermont Avenue home. She was arrested after police found her hiding between a shed and a fence.


A trail of women's cosmetic products led police to find a woman who allegedly broke into a Vermont Avenue home and then assaulted an elderly man at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday.

Jamie Presnol, 32, of Pawtucket, was charged with possession of drugs and assault on a person over 60 years old, buglary, larceny under $500 and assault with the intent to commit a felony.

According to the , officers were dispatched to Vermont Avenue after receiving a 911 call reporting that a 78-year-old man woke up to find a woman assaulting him. She fled the home shortly after allegedly causing a bloody cut near his left eye.

According to reports, Presnol left baby powder, lip gloss, fake eyelashes and money on neighboring lawns. After searching the area, officers soon found her crouching between a nearby fence and a shed, and arrested her. They also reportedly found towels stolen from the home stuffed in her shirt, and confiscated oxycodone pills from her possession.
