Woman Charged with Pushing Boyfriend During Argument

The following arrest information was provided by the East Providence Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

East Providence police responded to a Ruth Avenue apartment Jan. 15 at 9:07 p.m. for a report of an unwanted person, ultimately arresting a woman for pushing her boyfriend during an argument.

When officers arrived, they found the woman, Bryonna Parrillo, 20, of 92 Rose Lane, Pawtucket, standing outside the building with a 30-year-old and a four-year-old. Parillo said she and her boyfriend had been arguing over him going out instead of watching their children, according to a police report

During the argument, she said, she had pushed the man as he stood in her way while she was trying to leave, the report said.

Police spoke with the man, who said he had been arguing with Parillo on the phone when she threatened to damage his belongings in the apartment. The man asked a neighbor to check on the apartment, he said, but Parillo wouldn't let him in the apartment. So, he said, he returned to his apartment and asked Parillo to leave. He said the argument had not been physical until Parillo pushed him on her way out, unprovoked.

A witness verified the man's account of events, and the officer arrested Parillo, charging her with domestic simple assault and battery.
