Woman Cries Bomb During Reported Bank Robbery

Police are searching for a woman in a red Ford pick-up after she left Columbus Credit Union in Riverside.

A wigged woman claiming to have a bomb reportedly robbed Columbus Credit Union before police could arrive at the scene late Tuesday morning. 

Employees called East Providence Police after she allegedly left in a red Ford pick-up truck, according to Lt. Craig Fournier. 

No one was injured, he said.

Employees were able to enter the building as of 12:30 p.m. Police vehicles and yellow tape surrounded the bank's entrance.
