Woman Allegedly Runs at Boyfriend With Knife

The 19-year-old became upset after her boyfriend allegedly poured bleach on her clothes.

An infuriated 19-year-old woman allegedly ran after her boyfriend with a knife after he poured bleach on her clothes last Thursday.

According to police reports, a North Providence firefighter was responding to an East Providence station on July 19 at about 3 p.m. when he heard shouting coming from 925 Broadway. He then reportedly saw a woman, later identified as Sharel Holiday, chasing after a man across a driveway. She was holding a knife and said, "I'll show you."

East Providence officers arrived on scene and inspected the apartment Holiday and the man, identified as Sean Jobin, 21, shared together. According to the report written by Patrol Officer Jeffrey Perry, the apartment was in disarray. A pile of clothes were soiled with bleach.

Holiday reportedly told officers she got into a fight with her boyfriend after he poured bleach on her clothes. She said the weapon she grabbed was only a butter knife and she had no intention to use it. 

Holiday was charged with domestic disorderly and Jobin was charged with domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct for arguing in public, reads the report.
