Black History Month Celebration Set for Tuesday

A Black History Month celebration is set for Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in City Council chambers.

The event, at East Providence City Hall, 145 Taunton Ave., will feature artwork by local students, singing and dancing performances, an appearance by Miss Rhode Island 2014 and more.

Don't miss Onna Moniz-John's "Roll out the Black" Mobile Museum, on display from 5 to 6 p.m.

The event is free, family friendly and all ages are encouraged to attend. Parking is in the City Hall parking lot.
