Budget Board Expected to OK New Hennessey School Principal

East Providence Budget Commission meets Thursday, Aug. 1, in City Hall.

The appointment of a new principal for Hennessey Elementary School in East Providence is on the agenda for the Budget Commission for its meeting on Thursday, Aug. 1.

The Budget Commission is still sitting in the city to approve personnel matters. It meets at 3 pm in City Hall.

The current principal at Hennessey School, David Britto, is taking a leave of absence for a year. He is expected to return to the school system in 2014, but in another position.

Also on the agenda is a request to approve the new union contracts for Council 94, Steelworkers and the East Providence Education Association, and a variety of other personnel actions.
