Session II will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 9 am to 3:30 pm.

The certification classes will take place at the Recreation Center at 100 Bullocks Point Ave.

The first three hours of instruction will focus on CPR and choking for the adult, child and infant.  Students will also learn how to use an AED.

The second half of the program will cover learning the elements of First Aid, child safety, and stages of child development. Participants will also learn how to change and feed a baby and how to get their babysitting business started, said Sullivan.

The course fee is $70 per person, which includes a CPR book, reference materials, a certificate of completion and snacks.

Class size is limited. To register, call the Recreation Center at 401-433-6360.
