RPL’s Gerri Schiffman: RI’s Top Producing Realtor®

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Recently gathered data* from State-Wide Multiple Listing Service (MLS) has revealed Residential Properties Ltd. (RPL) Sales Associate Gerri Schiffman as Rhode Island’s top producing Realtor in gross sales volume during 2013, participating in the sale of 68 properties ranging in value from $150,000 up to $1,362,000.

“I was genuinely surprised,” remarked Schiffman upon hearing the news.

Schiffman represented both buyers and sellers in the sale of a wide variety of properties, including single family, commercial, mixed-use, condominium, and multi-family listings.

When asked how one manages so many transactions and what personal attributes are most important for success as a Realtor, Schiffman replied “Good organization is crucial as is frequent personal communication with clients.  But honesty and enthusiasm for the profession are essential.”

Schiffman has been a Top Producer in Providence County for the past 15 years and has been a Multi-Million Dollar Club winner every year since first joining RPL in 1994. “Residential Properties has a phenomenal website and the company does an excellent job of promoting its agents and their listings,” says Schiffman. “I am very grateful for all the assistance I receive from our talented and hard-working administrative staff.”

Schiffman also took a moment to share some valuable advice for new agents. “Take as much phone duty as possible and try to engage every caller in a conversation. Do open houses, as it is an important part of the marketing and a great opportunity to meet prospective clients in person.”

After such a successful year in 2013, Schiffman shifts her focus to the future and ever-changing landscape of the real estate industry. “Technology has already transformed the way we do business. Our clients have so much access to all kinds of data relating to their real estate concerns. It is very important that we as agents keep ourselves informed as to what is going on in the communities we represent.  I am looking forward to another busy year as our Rhode Island economy continues to improve.”
