Outgoing members – Charles Tsonos, Luisa Abatecola, Ryan Tellier, Stephen Furtado and Chrissy Rossi – gave some final thoughts on their two-year terms. Incoming members -- Joel Monteiro, Elizabeth Clupny, Anthony Ferreira, Richard Pimentel and Tim Conley -- introduced themselves.

Tsonos, the School Committee chairman who stepped down to seek a legislative seat, said that watching what East Providence has endured over the past two years  “has not been pleasant to watch … but I certainly look forward to better days ahead,” according to the Post.
