The East Providence Public Schools have cancelled class on Thursday because of the impending snowstorm.
All school activities have been cancelled.
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service shows that East Providence could get as much as 8 inches of snow from the storm. Snow should begin to fall Thursday morning and intensify during the morning rush hour. Snow could turn to ice during the afternoon before changing back to snow Thursday night.
