Weaver Library welcomes university students from the Middle East and North Africa who have come to Rhode Island as participants in the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Student Leaders Programs. The students, who are recruited by the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in their home countries, seek to develop leadership skills and to expand their understanding of civil society as well as the democratic process. Questions from the audience regarding society or culture, and/or political movements such as the Arab Spring will be welcomed.
