See K-Rob Family Festival in Pictures

The skies cleared just in time and BMX icon Kevin Robinson and his K-Rob Foundation threw another Family Fun Festival last Saturday -- even if the ride from Pierce Field to Crescent Park and the Looff Carousel started a few minutes late.

The annual event hosted by Robinson, who grew up in East Providence, is designed to get children to exercise, build social skills and, hopefully, use sports to live their lives a lot healthier.

The BMX riders were the primary attraction, of course, as they rode the tiny single-speed bikes over ramps while performing tricks on the ground and in the air. Red Bull brought a massive truck with speakers that supplied music all day.
