Religious Legacy Tonight, EPHS Walk-Through Tuesday

EPHS Walk-Through Tuesday - 
The East Providence School Department is hosting a walk-through Tuesday,  6 p.m. in the East Providence High School auditorium. The sole item on the agenda is a walk through of the building:

A. Call to Order Public Session – 6:00 PM

B. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag & Moment of Silence

Faith/Freedom Lecture tonight
 - The RI Faith and Freedom Exhibit in partnership with the RI Historical Society is on display at the Weaver Library. There will be a lecture by Brown University Professor Linford Fisher tonight at 7 p.m. entitled "Paradise Lost? The Origins and Legacies of Rhode Island’s Religious Freedom".

Blood drive Tuesday: East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a blood drive for the RI Blood Center on Jan. 28 at Weaver Library 2-6 p.m. Donate blood and get a coupon for a free pound of Dunkin Donuts coffee. 

City Council - The next City Council meeting is Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 145 Taunton Ave. The items on the Jan. 21 agenda, including a public hearing on final passage for adopting the state's building code, and changes to the elderly tax exemption regarding property transfers, will be added to that evening's items. The Jan. 21 meeting was canceled due to Tuesday's snowstorm.

Little League Signups- Registration for the 2014 season of Rumford Little League is now open, and you can register online. New this season, player fees will be collected online using a MasterCard or Visa credit/debit card.
