Big Touch a Truck Event in EP this Saturday

Great event for families with children who love fire trucks and police cars. Best of all — it's free.

For kids in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts who like fire trucks, ambulances, police cars and more, Saturday is arguably one of the best days of the year.

The East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 8th Annual Touch-A-Truck event in their huge parking lot at 1011 Waterman Avenue, East Providence, RI. 

Open to the public. Popular w/young children. 30+ vehicles from area businesses including: a milk truck, oil truck, cement truck, fire truck, DPW vehicles, ambulance, police cruiser, RIPTA bus, Howitzer cannon, "Deuce and a half" JEEP, Smart car, golf cart, WPRI-TV's Weathermobile and more!

Kids can get up close, touch the vehicles, pretend to drive and toot the horns. Free Face Painting, Free Blood Pressure Screenings and more! 

Mascots from local businesses will be available for photos during the event. A special photo area will be set up between 10:30am and 11:00am for taking pictures with all of the mascots. (It's free.) Bring your camera! 

Free rides on the Chamber Choo Choo included in admission: $5pp or $20 family of 4 or more. Please bring a canned good donation for Tapin's food pantry. Visit
