If you've got kids or still entertain a spark of childhood holiday spirit, the East Providence Library's Riverside branch has a treat for you: A Christmas Family Movie Marathon from 10 a.m. till 5:30 p.m.
The 475 Bullocks Point Ave. library will start off with the Rankin Bass animated feature, "Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town" and end with "Elf" starring comedian Will Ferrell.
The marathon, run by Meredith Bonds-Harmon, was planned following the success of a similar marathon during Halloween. Parents and kids showed up for that event, filling the 50-person capacity room at the library with some seats to spare.
Light refreshments, including donut holes, pizza, chips and christmas cookies, will be served during the event, which is free and open to the public.
"We have a new sound system that vastly improves sound quality to accomodate a large audience," Bonds-Harmon said.
